The Vardar Soccer Club since 1982 has been dedicated to the development of excellence and sportsmanship in its members and is among the top soccer clubs in the state of Michigan.

As the sport or youth soccer in the United States continues to grow and evolve, the nature and role of the youth league must also change. As philosophies of player and team development are refined, it is necessary for league leaders to create the best possible learning and competitive environment for their players.

It is for this reason we formed an affiliation with the Vardar South Premier Soccer Club. The affiliation will allow theVardar Southfield Youth Soccer League to provide an opportunity for all of our players to compete at the highest level and receive the best training and instruction in the state of Michigan.

The alliance between the Southfield Youth Soccer League and the Vardar South Premier Soccer Club evolved for the following reasons: Vardar South, being one of the top premier clubs in Michigan, has a desire to create a relationship with a quality recreation league as a means of identifying the more elite players who might benefit from their specialized training. The alliance allows the SYSL access to Vardar’s structured program and professional training environment. In addition, the SYSL will benefit from Vardar’s national recognition and tradition of developing players, coaches and teams.

Our league will continue to be administered and coached by the same dedicated group of volunteers, who are currently managing the organization. As part of the alliance, Vardar Southfield will offer 3 or 4 free clinics each season, taught by professional trainers and access to professionally managed camps at discounted rates. There will also be an opportunity for our dedicated but less experienced coaches to take advantage of a coach development program.

Regardless of what we call ourselves, we recognize that we are dealing with the absolute most important thing to you, your children. Our aim is to provide the best possible youth soccer experience in a safe and professional environment. We are simply setting a higher standard for our program.   We don’t just teach the game of soccer, but reinforce positive character traits such as good sportsmanship, fair play, team importance, doing one’s best, never giving up, respecting opponents and honoring the game.
